Does SmartAngel require anything to be installed?
No. SmartAngel products do not require installation, devices or an additional cell phone.
How difficult is it to operate SmartAngel devices, especially for older people?
Almost all devices are operated using a button. Essential information is shown on the display at a glance. Individual information is shown as a voice message or as a message on the display.
Customers who want to try out various other functions can do so at any time on the devices. Nothing can be deleted, changed or altered on the devices - you can always return to the watch display from any menu simply by briefly tapping the emergency call button.
Does SmartAngel require anything to be installed?
No. SmartAngel products do not require installation, devices or an additional cell phone.
How do I trigger an emergency call?
Press and hold the emergency button (3-4 seconds). If successful, there is a visual SOS on the device display as well as vibration, sound and call setup.
How does the alarm chain work?
Stored contact persons and/or the emergency call center are called in sequence until someone answers the call.
What happens if no one is available?
The emergency call center answers the call if it is stored as one of the 3 emergency call contacts. With the SmartAngel Assistance Service, the emergency call center is automatically stored as a back-up.
How do I stop a false alarm?
By briefly pressing the emergency button on the device or tapping the "red receiver symbol" on the display.
How can I end the emergency call?
The emergency call ends automatically when the person called hangs up or the contact is disconnected via the system.
How many emergency contacts can I store?
Standard: 3 contacts can be stored in the standard system, whereby one of the contacts can be our emergency call center.
Assistance Service option: With this service, any number of contacts, call lengths, day/night call chain, Combox bypass and much more can be set to suit your needs. Our emergency call center is always stored here as a contact if none of your contacts can take a call.
Who is suitable as a contact person?
Confidants such as family, neighbors or caregivers.
Do I have to inform the contacts about their role?
Yes - they should know about their responsibilities and be available.
Can I call my emergency contacts without an emergency reason?
With ANG2 and ANG4, up to 10 contacts can be entered in the phone book and called at any time free of charge.
Which vital signs are measured automatically?
Pulse, oxygen saturation (Sp02) as well as systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Where can I look up this data?
In the portal, you can view all measurement periods at any time or manually trigger an individual measurement directly on the clock.
Can I set the measuring intervals myself?
At any time in the portal.
What is the accuracy of the measured values?
The pulse and oxygen saturation measurements are comparable to the measurements of a pulse oximeter. When measuring blood pressure, different values may be displayed than with conventional blood pressure monitors. This is due to the fact that the sensor-controlled measurements do not use compression as with a cuff.
Other factors that can influence a measurement are movement, incorrect wearing of the device or anatomical conditions,

How does the localization work?
Via GPS, WLAN or GSM. The location is displayed on the portal and can be updated there manually at any time or sent to contacts by SMS or email in the event of an emergency or fall alarm.
Is a localization triggered with every emergency call?
The last automatically measured location is sent by SMS - the GPS intervals can be individually adapted to the situation via the portal. Manual positioning can be triggered in the portal at any time.
Do the SmartAngel products have fall detection?
The products in the ANG1, ANG2, ANG3 and ANG4 series all have an integrated fall sensor. This detects strong movements or falls due to speed profiles or impacts and automatically triggers an alarm.
Can the fall detection be adjusted or deactivated?
Yes - the sensitivity of the fall sensor can be individually adjusted or switched off completely via the portal.
How long does the battery last?
Around 2-4 days: ANG1, ANG2, ANG4
Around 7 days: ANG3
Is a low/full battery level displayed?
The 15% emits the audible message "The battery must be charged". The device should be connected to the charging cable within approx. 2 hours. An SMS is also sent to the emergency contacts.
When the battery is full, you will hear the audible message "The battery is fully charged"
The battery charge level is shown on the display (full, three quarters, half, one quarter)
How long does it take to charge?
Around 30 minutes for daily charging. Between 1-2 hours when the battery is empty.
Is the device waterproof?
The ANG1, ANG2 and ANG4 are IP67 rated: dustproof, splashproof and showerproof. Not suitable for bathing.
The ANG3 protector is dustproof and splash-proof - not suitable for bathing or showering.
Is it possible to call the watch?
At any time. It rings briefly and you are connected directly.
How good is the voice quality?
The voice quality is best at a distance of 20-30 cm. But even at greater distances, the voice quality is still good. The volume of ANG2 + ANG4 can be adjusted on the watch.
How do I set up the devices?
All devices are fully customized by SmartAngel according to your individual specifications. All you have to do is switch on the corresponding device - put it on - done!
How do I configure or change functions?
Via the portal or through free support from SmartAngel (e.g. changing contacts, fall sensor settings, measuring vital data, GPS etc.)
Is there also an app for SmartAngel?
Not yet - but the portal can be accessed via any mobile device (mobile, tablet, PC, laptop).
Do I have to buy a SmartAngel device?
No - all SmartAngel devices are already integrated in the selected subscription
Do I need a subscription?
Yes.
What is included in a subscription?
With SmartAngel, the selected device, call costs at home and abroad, portal access, emergency call functions and adjustments or changes by SmartAngel Support are included in every subscription.
What tariff models are available?
3-month trial subscription, half-year and annual subscription.
What happens after termination?
The device will be returned with the charging cable. The subscription ends at the end of the corresponding subscription period.
Does the health insurance company contribute?
Depending on the situation - clarification directly with the insurance company recommended.

Are the radio beams harmful?
No - radio is only activated in an emergency, radiation exposure is low.
Is the data secure?
Data is stored in the country where a customer is domiciled and transmitted in encrypted form (e.g. Swiss data center for Swiss customers).
Does the device work abroad?
SmartAngel currently works in up to 70 countries at no extra charge or roaming costs.
Where can I take out a subscription?
In the SmartAngel Shop or via one of our specialist retail partners. If this is not possible due to a lack of mobility or technical access, we can also take orders with you by telephone.
Can I also view the product in specialist shops?
Yes - we work with a number of advice centers and specialist retailers and are expanding the network in a targeted manner.
Is there an on-site consultation?
An on-site consultation is possible for an additional charge, depending on where you live.
Can I test SmartAngel before I buy it?
The 3-month trial subscription is ideal for testing SmartAngel. This subscription ends automatically after 3 months and we will contact you to discuss the next steps.
What happens if my device is defective or no longer works?
Give us a call. Devices are usually replaced free of charge within 24 hours. After 2 years, SmartAngel devices are automatically replaced free of charge with new devices.
